TSTC is thrilled to celebrate your accomplishments alongside your family and friends. Join us for a Graduation Celebration you’ll NEVER forget! Here are the most important details for your big day:
Get ready — it's ShowTime, superstar!
We have two ceremonies. The 5:30 ceremony is for ALL programs EXCEPT the Electrical Lineworker and Welding graduates. The 7:30 ceremony is for Electrical Lineworker and Welding graduates ONLY.
- Graduates arrive by 4:30 p.m. on December 20, 2024 for the 5:30 p.m. time or 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. time at Memorial City Hall, 110 E Houston St, Marshall, TX 75165. Look for the Grad/Student Check-In signs and have your cap and wrinkle-free gown ready for the Graduate Reception and pictures.
- Pick up your announcer card listing your name and graduate information during check-in. We will need it when you walk across the stage!
- Honors cords/special recognitions will be issued at Grad/Student Check-In.
- After check-in, you’ll be guided to the Graduate Reception Area (graduates only).

- Purchase your cap/gown/tassel today. Contact the TSTC Campus Store to purchase,
- Caps can be decorated respectfully and appropriately to let your personality shine.
- Wear comfy shoes.

- To request disability accommodations for yourself or your guests, please contact the Access and Learning Accommodations Office at adarequest@tstc.edu at least one week before your Graduation Celebration.
- Accessible parking is available at all locations on a first-come, first-served basis.
Details for Guests
- Seating begins at 4:30 p.m. for 5:30 p.m (all programs expect Electrical Lineworker and Welding). and 6:30 p.m. for 7:30 p.m (Electrical Lineworker and Welding ONLY).
- Make sure your guests arrive early to get a good seat.
- Our celebration will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m./ 7:30 p.m. Our celebration is BIG but not long.
- Tickets are free but are required for guests attending graduation. If you need extra tickets, please contact Career Services. Extra tickets are not guaranteed.
- Family and friends are encouraged to cheer when you walk across the stage!
Questions & Answers
Yes, tickets are required for guests only. Graduates do not need a ticket. Each graduate gets four tickets. Extra tickets are not guaranteed and only available from Career Services once all other tickets have been confirmed.
The Graduate Reception is for TSTC graduates only. This is a celebration with your graduating class and instructors prior to the ceremony. You will be served snacks and refreshments and have your picture taken.
No, caps and gowns are not provided. Please purchase your cap & gown at the bookstore or online, prior to the ceremony. Make sure to order your cap, gown and other accessories with plenty of time. To purchase your cap and gown, go to your local Campus Store for assistance or order online. Deadline for ordering online and allowing time for shipping for all campuses is TBD. Shipping will take up to 3 weeks, please plan accordingly. Please bring your gown steamed and wrinkle free, ready for pictures and the ceremony. If you need a cap and gown, please contact your Admissions Department to make your request. Loaners are first come first serve and are NOT guaranteed. Sizes can also vary. You will need to purchase a black tassel. Once the ceremony ends, we ask for any donations of gowns to help future students who cannot afford them.
