TSTC in Marshall: Welding Competition 2026
Description
Join us on campus for our exciting High School Welding Competition where talent and precision take center stage. This hands-on event gives prospective students the chance to put their welding skills to the test in a real technical college environment, connect with instructors and peers, and experience what a future in the skilled trades can look like. Whether you’re already passionate about welding or curious to try something new, this competition is a fun, challenging way to showcase your abilities and explore career opportunities in a high-demand field.
We are currently limiting each school to five student registrations, with a total event cap limit of 100 registrants. If interested, we encourage you to help your students register as early as possible If you are a school administrator or staff member, you can help our team by capturing a list of your five competing students. We would love it, if each student could register individually; but if that becomes difficult, you are absolutely welcome to reach out to our recruiting coordinator directly, and discuss your group size, participant names, etc. There could be room for us to open more registrations as we get closer to the event; if we are able to do so, we would certainly provide outreach to inform everyone.
If you are a student and plan on traveling with your school as a participant, please discuss with a school administrator or staff member to confirm that you are part of their list of registrants.
We will run the competition in two categories: a Underclass and Upperclass division. The Underclass division will be made up of Freshman and Sophomores. The Upperclass division will be made up of Juniors and Seniors. Your 5 school registrations can be a mixture of Underclassmen and Upperclassmen. For example, you could have three students (Freshmen or Sophomores) aiming to compete in the Underclassmen division, and another two (Juniors or Seniors) compete for the Upperclassmen division.
We plan to have several pieces of communication go out in the upcoming weeks, leading up to the big day; so be on the lookout, for information regarding a list of what to bring, event agenda, and more!
Come compete, learn, and spark your future! We can't wait to have you all here on campus for the big competition! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance.
