Description
Take the Controls with a TSTC Discovery Flight ✈️
The TSTC Discovery Flight is a 30-minute, hands-on flying experience with a TSTC-certified flight instructor in a real training aircraft. You’ll sit in the pilot’s seat, take the controls, and experience what it’s like to fly—while your instructor handles all safety-critical aspects of the flight.
It’s the perfect way to explore aviation, build confidence, and see if a future in flight is right for you.
Space is limited—RSVP to secure your spot!
Flights are available on Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., based on availability and require an RSVP and receipt of payment.

Yes, prior to your arrival please make sure to obtain a receipt for your payment.
- The cost for the flight is $50.
You can pay in person at the cashier’s office in the Student Service Center,
- located at 3801 Campus Drive, Waco, Tx 76705
- or by phone at 254-867-4842.
If you have already paid in advance, no additional payment is needed.
Absolutely—guests are welcome to join you on campus and share in the experience!
Each RSVP includes one student flight per day, and for safety reasons, only one student may be in the aircraft at a time.
If your guest is also interested in flying, please let us know ahead of time as soon as possible. When scheduling and aircraft availability allow, we may be able to arrange an additional discovery flight on the same day for your guest, but cannot be guaranteed.
You can edit your registration via the email confirmation you received, or via the reminder email you receive prior to the event to cancel, to then schedule a new date.

Yes, be sure to wear closed-toed shoes.
If you have a flight logbook or headset, bring them with you; otherwise a headset will be provided.
Ensure you’re well-hydrated and have eaten to stay comfortable in the aircraft.
